Freebie Classified Ads!

Have a few things lying around the house that you want to get rid of? Maybe you want to find that certain something in your area that you have been looking for. Check out a new site called PostaClassifieds.com. It's new so finding listings in your area might take a bit but I always find that these newer sites are the best places to find awesome deals. It seems that the other freebie classified listing sites tend to drive the prices of the items offered up just by the sheer number of viewers that they tend to get. Check them out and get rid of some of that old stuff you have laying around (and find some new stuff while you are at it)!

Alzheimer's Walk coming to your neck of the woods!

It is very rare that blogger's get the opportunity to blog about something that makes a difference and get paid for it. Yes, admittedly this is a paid blog entry but I felt the topic was definitely worth the few minutes it would take to write an entry about it. The Alzheimer's Association is bringing the Memory Walk to an area near you and needs some Team Captains. Signing up is super easy and raising money is easy.

I participated in a "virtual walk" post-Katrina when our HIV agency had their walk postponed. I never realized how simple it would be to raise a quick $500 just by using the tools on the website. Even if you don't want to walk for the Memory Walk this year (although ours is being held in late November -- no excuses for me since the weather will be awesome) it is still possible to do your part to help research for Alzheimer's by signing up to be a Team Captain on the website. Once you have set your team goals, just send a quick letter out to all of your email contacts. You will be surprised how quickly you can get sponsors, especially when Alzheimer's has touched so many people out there. The Alzheimer's Association even has a way for you to win a trip to Las Vegas if you participate. Just check out the site for more details. I know I will be starting my team in just a few minutes. It would be nice if Team Captains kept each other up to date by adding some comments to this entry. Hmmm... maybe a bit of healthy competition?

Join the cause guys. It's not about the money I get paid to write this. It's because it is a very real possibility this will someday affect each of us. Guess where the money I get from writing this entry will go? My team of course. Now I just need a team name!

Office furniture

I am almost to the point of needing to expand my small tower desk and make some room for myself to keep organized. This is the biggest lesson I have had to learn as I continue to grow this blog and my at home business. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep organized. I advise not doing as I did and be reactive. Be proactive and get your office furniture and office organization tools right from the beginning. You will save yourself lots of trouble and make things tons easier on you from the beginning!

Need ideas for content?

I recently read another post (and for the life of me I cannot remember where... probably DoshDosh) about where to get ideas for post topics and thought I would pass it on. Not only has it given me some recent ideas for article content but it has driven me to find a new site or two. Check out Google Alerts. You can set up an alert on your topic of choice and have Google email you the results! For example, I programed in "paid to post" and when Google gets pages with that search term in them, I get an email (actually lots) with a link to the post as well as a bit of the text to help weed out what I don't want to look at. It's a great way to keep up on the latest topics (especially for tech blogs and the such). Try setting up an alert today and see what you can come up with!

More travel blogging opportunites

Another PayU2Blog opportunity I received recently was for Arizona luxury real estate. When I first started this blog, money and opportunities to blog for cash were limited. PayU2Blog has consistently turned out opportunity after opportunity for me and pays every two weeks. Last two week pay period, I made a whopping $75. Not really chump change for me in this post-Katrina hell. So, I am considering branching off of this blog to start a travel specific blog just for these types of posts! The dollars look just good enough that I can start saving for that luxury real estate and get out of the shoe box I am in! (Pictures of it later). Be sure to read my next post for some other awesome deals from PayU2Blog!

Vacations are hot topic for blogs

If you are looking for a niche blog to get you started, consider the possibility of a travel blog. You don't have to travel to the spots yourself, but you can review the sites that would pay you to blog about them. PayU2Blog seems to send lots of them my way. Consider the deal for blogging about Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. You simply write a few words about how easy the site was to use then you can be on your way to earning some nice vacation money to actually go to Las Vegas and Caesars Palace!

BlogKits rocked my world!

Well guys, I apologize for the delay in writing, but I have been on a job interview in New York City for EOS Airlines. Wish me luck! I interviewed for a flight attendant position and I am waiting eagerly for the phone call back to begin training hopefully in September. What does that mean for this blog? Oh, it's not going away at all. If you have been keeping up with my posts, it seems that the powers that be at BlogKits rewarded me with a "best entry" surprise for my last posting when I returned from my interview trip! I can't express enough how much the new beginning blogger should check them out. And it seems that they even took my comment to heart about improving the "user friendly" end of the website. It seems some changes are underway that might make the sight a breeze for those looking to break into blogging that pays!

BlogKits rock for multiple pay streams!

BlogKits is a new paid-to-blog program that really offers something quite different. It is a one-stop-shop for making money out of your old hobby of blogging. Until now, you have had to scour the internet trying to find the perfect site for ad publishing, another for text link ads, and still another for paid review opportunities. BlogKits changes all of that by bringing all of these money making opportunities together in one site! They best part of all is the remarkable amount of cash that they are dishing out! Most every program comes with two payment possibilities: pay-per-click ads and payout for sign-ups or leads!

The site is a bit confusing at first and quite honestly I do not understand everything that is offered. My favorite are the banner rotators that are in my sidebar. See those groovy ads over there? They are site specific ad rotators so my readers get to see lots of things they may be interested in instead of the same boring ad over and over again! Lots of programing options allow you to only show the ad subjects that you want your readers to see.

I could fall in complete love with BlogKits but have one request of the site. Please BlogKit gods... make the site a bit more user friendly. It seems the tech ads that I placed in the banner rotator are wonderful and I love to review websites that my readers will make money by using. I just wish I could decipher all the awesome things BlogKits can do for my blog. I'll keep playing around with the codes and hopefully a few of you can try them out as well. Heck, I might need some pointers from you guys on how to best use the site! Good luck with BlogKits!

Calling all Gamers!

I am not a gaming fan but am passing this on as part of my PayPerPost account. CreepColony is a website dedicated to the video game starcraft and the upcoming release of Starcraft 2. I often get paid advertisements for sites that don't actually intrigue me. CreepColony may have just won me over. The amount of detail to the site and the game may just have me trying out a video game. Gosh, it's been a while since I have played The Sims. Sad but true. That is my last experience with computer games!

Questions from my readers?

I am interested in knowing what it is that readers of this blog would like to know? I need honest questions and honest criticism. Am I convering what it is you need to know and what do you find useful about this blog? What would you like to see? I would also like to feature some bloggers and their blogs or websites so why not shoot my an email at tysites@gmail.com or leave a comment! Thanks for reading!

Revisiting PayU2Blog.

I was initially turned off by the different type of advertisements that PayU2Blog wanted me to accept. It seemed that there were subjects that were not appropriate to this blog (i.e. real estate, insurance, etc.). It turns out that they have upgraded their system recently allowing bloggers to accept subjects often, sometimes, or never. On the upside, I always get consistent work. $5 for a sixty word post and paid every two weeks via PayPal. And this site really seems to give away tons of free merchandise to try out and then blog about. The kicker I just wised up to? You don't have to write about the advertiser at all (something I missed initially). So that leaves you, the genius blogger, up to your creative ways to include a link. Kind of like the way I slipped you the real estate link up there! Clever huh? And $5 more!

Why advertisers want to pay you!

In reading some of my favorite "Make Money" blogs (ProBlogger, DoshDosh, and a few others) it seems that diversifying your advertising is the way to go. What does that mean? Well, inline text ads and programs such as AdSense generate income based on how many times an ad is clicked. The amount of times that an ad is clicked is usually represented as a percentage of the amount of times ads are shown. This percentage is called a "Click Thru Rate" or CTR for short. A quick check of this blogs stats and I see that I have an all-time CTR of .68%. Now here's an interesting fact from a study recently performed by PayPerPost based on blogger's posts of their advertisers. The CTR of post-specific reviews and advertisements? On average sponsored posts deliver an average ctr of 10.545%!

Now you can begin to see why there is great value in creating a niche blog and getting some readership. The profits can be overwhelming so take a bit of advice from me. Be sure to include content worthy of being read by your readers. I have visited a few blogs who obviously post strictly for the cash and I hope that is not what I present here. Avoid those programs that require you to post about things unrelated to your blog and you will retain a greater readership. Greater readership means more links to and from your blog. And, of course, that means higher page ratings to help get you the higher paying advertisers! Check out PayPerPost if you are a newbie and are just getting started. The easiest way to do that is to write a review of this very article and get $7.50 right from the start. Just click the button below and your off to a great start attracting those advertisers who want that 10.545% CTR!!

What's making me money (and happy)!

In a recent forum rant, I mentioned to some other Guides of ChaCha that I would share the few sites I have been using for making money on the internet. I figured why not let all of you guys know what those sites are and share the wealth. So, here it is. The actual list of current sites that I use to make some extra cash while online.

If you are not a member of these sites already, please consider following the links below as, of course, I get some sort of recognition for recruiting on most of them. If you have sites that you recommend, feel free to leave a comment with your link to share with all of my readers! Thanks!

Digital Journal - Write, rate, and comment on articles and get paid! Hasn't paid a ton because I haven't taken alot of time to write recently but did pay well for short news worthy articles.

Blogsvertise - Get paid to write in your blog! Recently started to pay really well for me! Payments are made once your ad has been active one month and are via PayPal! Also has cheap advertiser programs if you want to pay others to write about your blog!

Mahalo.com - Here's the new big money maker I've found. You get paid to write SeRPs (Search Request Pages)... basically you find links to search requests and publish them in a page. It takes a bit to learn the coding but I did it quickly. They only take a few part-time guides each day so try early in the morning. You will have to do one SeRP and have it reviewed before you can be approved to work on up to five at a time. Pay starts at $10 per SeRP and goes up as you have more accepted and can be paid via PayPal. HINT: Use the FireFox tool. It's a huge help!

PayU2Blog.com - Pays you to post about advertiser sites in your blog. Tons of work but aren't always related to my blog. Pays $5 for a post of 50 - 100 words and is paid every two weeks via PayPal!

PayPerPost - This is one of my biggest pay-to-blog sites and is my absolute favorite as it
has the most relevant information. Payments are via PayPal and are paid after your post is active for one month! Has an awesome referral plan as well! Just click the button below to get started!

Associated Content - Another big money maker for the short amount of time I put in! Just write articles about anything (I wrote about local events). I was paid $6 - $7 per article in just a few days of writing the article. Payment is via PayPal and you also get more pay for page views! Terrific money maker for those of you who like to write!

Gather.com - Hasn't paid greatly but has the potential! It's an online community where you get points for participating. Top point earners each month get paid in cash and everyone can redeem points for groovy prizes (I go for the borders.com rewards)! It's fun and a GREAT way to increase your web presence!

So there you go! Try them out and let me know what you think!
